AdventureSmart

The AdventureSmart program regroups several prevention presentations offered for free to any team requesting it.

These presentations aim to provide information to the general public, allowing them to enjoy their outdoor activities while diminishing the number of related accidents.

The “Hug-A-Tree and Survive” program was created in California in the 1980s.  Since then, it has snowballed.

This program aims to make children aware of the risks of getting lost in the woods.  The presentations, which last about 45 minutes, inform  young (and often older) people about:

  • How to avoid getting lost in the woods;
  • What to do once they realize they are lost;
  • How to help the search party to find them.

Several members of the AQBRS have been trained to present this program.  A list of those members will soon be available on this website.  In the meantime, you can contact us.
